Yes. Your first meeting with Patten Financial Group is complimentary, and there is no obligation to become a client.
How long is the first meeting?
The first consultation usually runs about 60 minutes.
Can we meet by video call or phone instead of in person?
Yes. You can meet with us in person at our Valparaiso office, by video call, or by phone — whichever is most convenient for you.
What should I bring to the first meeting?
Nothing is required. If it's convenient, recent statements for your investment and retirement accounts and a list of your questions help us make the most of the time.
What happens after the first meeting?
If we both feel it's a good fit, you'll complete a Financial Factfinder, a Risk Tolerance Questionnaire, and an Estate Planning Questionnaire. Your advisor reviews everything and presents a recommendation at a second meeting. Nothing is put in place unless you approve the plan.
I already work with another advisor. Can I still meet with you?
Yes. The first meeting is a chance to ask questions and compare approaches before you make any decision.
Do you work with clients outside Valparaiso?
Yes. We're based in Valparaiso, Indiana, and serve clients throughout Northwest Indiana and the Greater Chicagoland area.
